Busy weekend. Glad to be home. Using my own PC, yeaaa!
I took Krystal's burgers down to everyone, I'll post those pictures in the near future.
My parents had some old friends over for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything went smoothly and we only got kicked out of the kitchen a few times. I hadn't seen the Arredondo family since we lived in Turkey. They had just gotten married and they stayed about a year after we left. They didn't leave voluntarily, either! Turns out Richard was accused of burning down thousands of acres of olive and pistachio trees over there. A camp fire gone wrong.
It was great to see them and sit and reminisce.
The following morning, my brother volunteered my sister and I to clean out the garage. A garage that has never been home to a car. It took a good six hours and I found some cool stuff from my high school years and our old toybox from Germany. We had a truckload to donate to Goodwill after my father's blessing. A lot of stuff stayed because he "is going to fix it", "needs it", "has been looking for that!" Whatever. I hope I don't have to resume the job at Christmas or I might just stay up here.
My sister took me to her friend's bar. A real bar, not a club. I don't want to look at another Appletini for a long while. When the owner buys a round for the girls, it's hard to resist. But after the 7th round, it's probably a good idea to politely decline. You only rethink the idea the next day.
I went to a cool Jazz club in downtown San Antonio on Saturday called Swigs, another of her friends is the drummer. Jazz is so relaxing, not wild and crazy, just a cozy time. I felt very upscale.
I finally went shopping on Sunday. The Flea Market. I was looking for fake purses. Bought sunglasses instead. Oh, and a cool Burberry style scarf (Why are you buying a scarf?! -- Because I don't live down here!)
Do you believe I was going to put on shorts for the drive home? It's nice down in SA right now. It's freakin' cold here!
As soon as I got in, I pretty much turned around and went to ITT.
I started my 2nd quarter of classes tonight. Visual Basic, C++, and College Math II. I'm very excited. Ooooh, the smell of new books!
Uaargh, I have to unpack and do laundry!
